Job Title: Chef de Partie Introduction We are seeking an ambitious Chef de Partie to join a busy 4-star hotel kitchen in Cork. As a key member of the culinary operation, the Chef de Partie will ensure excellence in food quality and presentation, work collaboratively under pressure, and help maintain high standards across both restaurant and event dining. Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present dishes to 4-star hotel standards across restaurant, bar, and banqueting outlets. Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu execution, consistency, portion control, and plating. Supervise and guide junior chefs during service while ensuring hygiene and food safety at all times. Organise mise en place for service periods; assist with stock ordering, rotation, and storage. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of food service. Contribute to cost control through portion management, wastage reduction, and efficient use of resources. Adhere strictly to HACCP, health, safety, and hygiene requirements. Requirements Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or senior demi chef in a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen. Ability to perform under pressure and deliver consistent quality during peak service times. Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
