Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with
a minimum of 5+ years of robust project management experience
, capable of
simultaneously overseeing and delivering multiple engineering projects
within a high-performance pharmaceutical environment.
This role involves leading projects related to
new product introductions
,
process improvements
,
automation
,
aseptic processing
, and the
integration of new processing equipment
– including
facility and utility modifications
where required.
The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring all assigned projects are executed
on time, within scope, and within budget
.
The Project Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering, who will provide guidance and support to ensure design, equipment, and facility deliverables are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
1. People & Project Leadership
Safely coordinate and lead cross-functional teams
to deliver
multiple concurrent projects
involving new or upgraded processing equipment.
Processing equipment may include:
Autoclaves, RABS and Isolator Filling Machines, LAF Units, Compounding Skids, Vessels, Containment Booths, and Stopper Processing Equipment
.
Prepare
User Requirement Specifications (URS)
for new equipment.
Identify and evaluate vendors; complete
vendor assessment matrices
.
Prepare all project documentation, including
RCEs
, purchase orders, and
project plans
.
Conduct
design reviews
and facilitate project meetings across teams and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with
ASME BPE ****
,
ISPE guidelines
, and relevant industry standards.
Oversee
equipment installation
,
utility tie-ins
, and service integration.
Lead the project team through
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
.
Manage all
equipment documentation
requirements.
Support
commissioning, qualification, and engineering activities
.
Deliver
handover training
and coordinate O&M manuals, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance schedules.
2. Product & Process Support
Support
technical troubleshooting
for product manufacturing and aseptic filling processes.
Lead and contribute to
process optimisation
and
cost-reduction initiatives
.
3. Communication & Meetings
Lead
weekly or bi-weekly project review meetings
with assigned stakeholders.
Participate in scheduled departmental and
management meetings
as required.
Requirements: Education & Experience
Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience
within the biologics or pharmaceutical industry.
Minimum 5+ years of project engineering and/or project management
, with proven capability to manage
multiple active projects concurrently
in a
cleanroom (Class A/B) pharmaceutical environment
.
Strong project management track record
with demonstrated delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.
Strong technical aptitude with a
proactive, hands-on approach
.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
, with the ability to engage effectively with all project stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
and proven experience coordinating across multiple departments.
