Director, Cost Management Role
MPA Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Director, Cost Management to join our client's team in Toronto. The organization is an award-winning consultancy providing complete project solutions in real estate and infrastructure asset planning, development, operations, and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead high-profile projects while managing a team of 5-10 members.
* Prepare cost estimates using measurement software and adhere to industry standards.
* Attend site inspections to assess cost-to-complete and work-in-place for construction work.
* Provide proactive cost management advice and ensure clients understand report content.
* Conduct quality assurance and quality checks of cost management reports.
* Assess and analyze cost variances between estimate stages.
* Prepare change order review analysis and lifecycle cost estimates.
* Coordinate workload and team resources with support from the Director.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of relevant experience.
* University Degree or equivalent in Architectural Building Technology, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Engineering, or Project Management.
* Professional qualification: PQS and/or MRICS.
* Minimum 5 years of management and/or leadership experience.
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Cost X, Planswift, or relevant estimating software.
* Eligible to work in Canada or pursuing a work permit.
