FT’s integrated approach ensures cost-effective and sustainable outcomes for both public and private sector clients.FT is seeking to appoint a Clerk of Works for a major greenway infrastructure construction project in County Wexford.The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience. The role provides exposure to a range of disciplines including historic and new structures, civil, drainage and ancillary works.FT offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development including Resident Engineer/Design Site Representative leading to Sr. Resident Engineer/Lead Design Site Representative roles.FTs ResponsibilitiesWhat would my main responsibilities be in this role?Carry out daily inspections and keep daily site diariesReviewing and approving materials submissions from the ContractorReviewing the Contractor’s method statementsReviewing and approving inspection and test plansRaising non-compliance reportsSupervision of the construction works on siteWitnessing the key stages of the construction worksAdvising the designer of any design defects notedEnsure construction is carried out in accordance with the Works Requirements and ContractLiaise with the design team on any design-related mattersRepresenting the designer at site meetings when requiredSkills / QualificationsAm I the right person for the role?National Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Studies or related field5 years post-graduate experience in road or greenway infrastructure projectsExperience working as a Design Site Representative Inspector or Employer’s Representative Inspector on roads, greenways, or active travel projectsExperience in the site supervision of bridge structures constructionExperience in the site supervision of historic steel structures is a plusExperience working in a Consulting Engineering or similar company is a plusExcellent communication, management and organisational skills requiredExperience working and co-ordinating with technical specialists and engineersExperience organising and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframeCandidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skillsFlexible and a good team playerWorks efficiently and on their own initiativeFull Driving LicenceIs FT the right fit for you?Ready to take the next step?
