The role of a Project Manager - Environmental Sustainability Specialist is crucial in supporting the delivery of planning applications and associated environmental and technical assessments for various projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all planning-related activities are carried out efficiently, in compliance with regulatory requirements, and in alignment with project timelines and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities:
* Assist Senior Project Managers/Project Directors with the delivery of design, planning, and environmental assessment requirements for renewable energy projects up to the point of consenting decision.
* Coordinate and manage all associated documents, including EIA and AA Screening, Planning & Environmental Reports, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (if required), and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement reports.
* Manage the coordination of baseline environmental and constraints assessments and facilitate interaction between project team members as required.
* Support the planning team in keeping up-to-date with planning/environmental legislation, policy decisions, and updates to national, regional, and local authority development plans by assisting with review and identification of key developments for our projects.
* Contribute to Company submissions as required.
* Assist the Communications and Engagement team with the development of effective project plans for management of consultation with local communities and other relevant stakeholders, including statutory and non-statutory consultees.
* Support the planning team and community engagement team with preparation for and attendance at Community Events as required.
* Assist with the preparation of specifications for third-party services for projects as required and fully assist the procurement team in the various stages of associated procurement processes.
Requirements:
* Hons Degree (Lvl 8 FETAC) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
* Post Graduate (Lvl 9 FETAC) qualification in a relevant discipline, desirable but not essential.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience assisting with/inputting into planning applications and Environmental Assessment.
* Proven knowledge and experience in project development for planning applications, particularly in coordinating and managing environmental assessments.
* Strong experience working with and managing multidisciplinary project teams.
* Solid understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, and familiarity with Irish planning policy and legislation related to EIA.
* Experience in renewable energy and associated infrastructure projects, particularly Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) projects.
