Job Opportunity: Manufacturing Supervisor
Description:
We are working with a leading global manufacturing company who is looking to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor in County Offaly. This permanent role reports directly to the Production Manager and plays a critical role in overseeing and leading the manufacturing team to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for driving production goals, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring health and safety protocols are always met.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and Develop Team: Proactively lead, manage, and upskill Manufacturing Team Members to achieve plant metrics, including performance management, training, motivation, and attendance in conjunction with HR.
* Operational Excellence: Assign tasks and manage resources to maximize uptime, efficiency, and output, while achieving key performance goals.
* Safety & Compliance: Maintain a TRIR of zero by upholding and promoting a strong safety culture in compliance with EHS, SPG, DuPont policies, and regulatory requirements; report any non-compliance or hazards immediately.
* Quality & Standards: Embed quality into every process by ensuring strict adherence to product specifications, SOPs, GMP, GDP, PPE, and customer requirements.
* Cross-functional Communication: Maintain clear, regular communication with other teams and departments to ensure alignment and rapid issue resolution, including equipment fault reporting and follow-up.
* Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement: Maintain high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe environment while fostering teamwork and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience in a lean manufacturing environment
* Good mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to understand manufacturing operations and processes
* Able to monitor quality control specifications, document results, and take corrective actions when needed
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to take initiative, manage people, and motivate teams effectively
* Professional, presentable, and computer literate with strong communication and people skills
