Deliver structured, high-level technical boxing coaching members ranging from novice to competitive levels.The role focuses on developing athletes' technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and overall boxing intelligence in line with the standards of national boxing federations.Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Boxing InstructionCoach all key boxing fundamentals: stance, guard, movement, punch technique, defence, ring positioning, and tactical strategy.Conduct pad-work, technical sparring, and skill-based drills aimed at correcting bio-mechanical errors and improving fight efficiency.Design progressive class plans suitable for multiple levels; inc. beginners, intermediates, and advanced athletes.Develop training plans that integrate technique, conditioning, and tactical application.Demonstrate and teach correct punching mechanics and footwork based on evidence-based coaching methods.2. Athlete and Programme DevelopmentPrepare boxers for national / international level competitions in compliance with IABA frameworks.Provide individual athlete assessments, performance tracking, and tailored feedback.Support competitive athletes with bout preparation, corner assistance, and post-fight technical analysis.Create training plans that promote long-term skill development and athlete safety.3. Compliance and SafetyEnforce strict safety, sparring, and equipment-use protocols.Conduct risk assessments and implement injury-prevention strategies.Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.Adhere to child-protection and safeguarding legislation; complete Garda Vetting and Safeguarding training.4. Mentoring and LeadershipMentor assistant coaches and interns on technical coaching and class delivery.Uphold Underdog's technical coaching standards and contribute to internal coach development programmes.5. Member and Community EngagementProvide a professional, respectful, and inclusive coaching environment for all gym members.Encourage discipline, resilience, and respect inherent to boxing culture.Assist with local outreach, exhibitions, and events that promote boxing participation.6.
