Job Description
The Conference and Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, meetings, banquets, and social events at the hotel.
This role ensures high standards of service, client satisfaction, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
Specific Duties
* Oversee the full lifecycle of events, from client enquiry to post-event follow-up.
* Coordinate room setups, audio-visual requirements, catering, and service timelines.
* Ensure all events meet health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
* Act as the main contact for clients, advising on layouts, themes, and services.
* Conduct pre-event briefings and manage guest expectations.
* Address client issues or feedback professionally and promptly.
* Maintain event documentation and accurate billing.
* Generate post-event evaluation reports for performance improvement.
Financial and Revenue Management
* Manage departmental budgets focusing on profitability and cost control.
* Monitor revenue and expenses, implementing strategies to meet financial targets.
* Identify revenue opportunities through upselling.
* Ensure procurement processes are cost-effective and compliant.
Sales and Client Relations
* Collaborate with Sales & Events teams to promote event spaces.
* Develop strategies to attract high-end clients for various events.
* Conduct site inspections and prepare client proposals.
* Build relationships with repeat clients and seek new business opportunities.
Operational Excellence
* Ensure event spaces are clean, maintained, and equipped with modern AV technology.
* Implement and monitor adherence to hotel policies and standards.
* Conduct departmental audits for compliance and improvement.
* Support new initiatives within timelines.
* Maintain a strong management presence to support operations.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel in F&B operations. Must have the right to work in Ireland / EU full-time.
