We are seeking an accomplished AI Research Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and fine-tuning methodologies.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement novel state-of-the-art fine-tuning strategies for pre-trained models with clear performance targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Build, execute, and monitor controlled fine-tuning experiments while tracking key performance indicators, documenting iterative results, and benchmarking against industry standards.
3. Identify and process high-quality datasets tailored to specific domains, establishing measurable criteria to ensure data curation positively impacts model performance in fine-tuning tasks.
4. Systematically debug and optimize the fine-tuning process by analyzing computational and model performance metrics, applying empirical research to overcome fine-tuning bottlenecks.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy fine-tuned models into production pipelines, defining clear success metrics and ensuring continuous monitoring for improvements and domain adaptation.
6. Develop expertise in PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries, with practical experience in developing fine-tuning pipelines, adapting models to new data, and deploying refined models in production on target platforms.
7. Demonstrate ability to apply empirical research to drive fine-tuning advancements, designing evaluation frameworks and iterating on algorithmic improvements to continuously push the boundaries of fine-tuned AI performance.
Requirements
* Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, preferably with a strong track record in AI R&D (with good publications in top-tier conferences).
* Hands-on experience with large-scale fine-tuning experiments, where contributions have led to measurable improvements in domain-specific model performance.
* Deep understanding of advanced fine-tuning methodologies, including state-of-the-art modifications for transformer architectures as well as alternative approaches.
* Strong expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and fine-tuning techniques, with emphasis on enhancing model intelligence, efficiency, and scalability within fine-tuning workflows.
