Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom metal components and structures to exact specifications. This role involves working with mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals in a busy workshop and occasionally on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabrication & Welding:
* Fabricate and assemble metal components from technical drawings and specifications.
* Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel to a high standard.
* Operate tools such as saws, grinders, punches, press brakes, and rollers.
Reading Drawings:
* Accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, and fabrication plans.
Material Preparation:
* Measure, mark, cut, and bend materials to required dimensions.
* Check material quality and report any defects or discrepancies.
Quality Control:
* Inspect finished work for accuracy, finish quality, and adherence to tolerances.
* Follow internal procedures to ensure quality of finished goods
Installation:
* Assist with or lead the installation of fabricated components on customer sites when required.
* Ensure all site work complies with health and safety standards.
Maintenance & Housekeeping:
* Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.
* Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with workshop safety regulations.
Requirements:
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in metal fabrication (mild and stainless steel).
Skills:
* Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
* Familiarity with workshop safety procedures and quality standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Other:
* Valid driver's license (preferred).
* Manual handling, abrasive wheels and safe pass certification (advantageous).

Pay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
