Job Overview
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the jobholder will be a key member of the Financial Reporting Team, with responsibility for the external financial reporting requirements. Job Responsibilities
Support the Financial Reporting Manager in the execution of half-year and year-end reporting requirements for holding company and other entities of the Group to tight reporting deadlines.
Implement process improvements in the annual close, particularly around production of Annual Report.
Responsibility for the maintenance of the tax requirements of the Group, and manage the tax relationship with the external Tax Consultants.
Participate in project work as assigned to optimise processes and focus on improvement in the financial reporting of the Group.
Education
A qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years PQE
Strong academic background with a relevant degree
Experience
Experience in the production of IFRS financial statements
Experience in the Insurance industry and knowledge of reporting requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
A keen analytical mind who views the Finance Function as a key strategic enabler of better business and commercial decision‑making.
An ability to work with other functions across the business to develop relationships and coordinate deliverables.
An enthusiastic self-starter with the energy and drive to improve processes & solve problems under their own direction.
A strong team player with the proven ability to work with others to accomplish common objectives.
