OVERVIEWThe Sales Executive is responsible for driving the transient and groups business from international markets. This includes proactive sales, planning, converting and coordinating the hotel's international leisure sales. Also supporting the Sales & Marketing team in day-to-day activities when required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:· Proactively managing and developing the relationship with Tour Operators, DMC's, Wholesalers and Leisure Travel Agents· Taking ownership of all International Leisure Group business at the hotel from converting enquiries, managing all group bookings from start to finish i.e. enquiry, conversion, contracting, communicating to operational team and assisting the operations team when group are on site to provide the best guest experience· Responsible for all account management across the afore mentioned B2B clients, this includes contracting and re-contracting year on year with the support of ADOSM and Revenue Manager· Proactively targeting new business for hotel· Promoting and representing Lough Eske Castle at domestic and international trade shows and sales trips as and when required· Maximising all revenue opportunities and achieving KPI's outlined on an annual basis. From existing & new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management, including upselling ancillary spend across the hotel· Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams on property with customer visits, site inspections and familiarization trips including communication thereof· Managing sales and marketing projects as per business requirements and when required· Providing feedback to the ADOSM and General Manager on local market conditions· Agreeing and monitoring departmental sales action plans· Understanding and implementing the hotel's yield management strategies· Attending departmental and hotel meetings as required· Completing all required sales reports & annual plans in a timely fashion· Maintaining all hotel standards, comply with employee handbook guidelines, also protecting and enhancing the assets of the hotel· Assisting the ADOSM with administrative tasks as and when required· Any other duties as may be requested by ManagementSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITYThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to qualify potential opportunities and increase profitability of the hotelSelf-motivated, hardworking, customer focused and assist in developing a positive work cultureMust be able to multitask, great attention to detail and excellent communicatorExcellent grooming and presentationCompetent use of the computer systems such as Microsoft Office packages including Excel, experience in using Adobe Packages and hotel property management systems i.e. HotSoft/Opera.Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend work as and when requiredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEligible to work in the Republic of IrelandAbility to communicate well in English, both orally and written, with guests and employeesPosition requires 1-3 years of previous sales or events operational experience in the hospitality industryEducated to leaving certificate or equivalentProficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and experience in hotel property management systemsExperience in events management or proactive sales with a minimum of two yearsPREFERRED REQUIREMENTSDiploma / third level education in related fields in business management, marketing and/or hospitalityJob Type: Full-timePay: €35,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountFood allowanceOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Drumrooske, Donegal, CO.
