Job Summary
To provide technical assistance to growers and ensure sites are managed according to company standards with a view to maximisation of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provision of technical information to farmers: Guidance on operation of poultry house equipment, programs for stock management, and culling advice.
* Sites visits: Checking of hygiene and bio-security procedures, monitoring of protective clothing usage, and assessment of factory conditions.
* Farm Surveys: Conducting surveys to ensure compliance with Moy Park standards, notifying the line manager of any issues, and providing completed farm assessments.
* Flock Health Status Monitoring: Gas readings, salmonella tests, and thorough investigations into health problems within flocks.
* Miscellaneous tests: Conducted as necessary.
* Record Keeping: Ensuring accurate data recording through a web-based system and reminding farmers of factory weight requirements.
* Farm audits: Conducting timely audits to ensure farms comply with customer and legislative requirements.
* Health and Safety: Complying with company regulations, ensuring farmer awareness of health and safety issues, and reporting areas of failure.
Requirements:
* Minimum third-level qualification
* At least six months' relevant experience
* Excellent organisation skills
* Full valid driving licence
* People management experience in an advisory capacity
