Position: Assistant Manager (Social Care Worker Grade)
Location: PA & Home Support Service, Castlebar Co. Mayo (initially; final location will be determined based on service needs)

Job Brief
The Home Support Service seeks a highly capable Assistant Manager to join the Home Support and PA team. The successful applicant will collaborate with Home Support Service Managers to deliver and coordinate services in line with new regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills, empathy, person-centered approach, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of HIQA requirements and Home Support regulations is essential.
* Genuine interest in working alongside people to create positive opportunities and meaningful change.
* Ability to work independently
* Resilience in community settings
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to provide personal care and support when required
* Creative problem-solving skills
* Highly motivated
* Use of own car for work purposes
Other Duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Participating in local service planning and adapting to changing needs
* Ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to Western Care's Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety standards
* Promoting safety in all environments
* Supporting people using positive, organizational practices
Qualification Details
An appropriate third-level qualification in Social Care or equivalent (minimum level 7). Your qualification must be eligible for CORU registration.
Other Requirements
* Full driver’s license is essential
* Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks required
* Applicants from outside the E.U. must provide relevant work authorization
* Overseas Police Clearance required if lived outside Ireland/Northern Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18

Salary Scale
Social Care Worker Pay Scale: €33,863 to €50,954 annually, based on full-time hours (39 hours/week).
