About the Role
We are looking for an awesome Talent Acquisition Partner to join our People team for a 12m Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will lead and deliver the end‑to‑end recruitment strategy across multiple business areas following the direct sourcing model. You will build high‑quality talent pipelines, strengthen our employer brand and encourage innovation with our talent strategies.
You will partner closely with VP’s, Hiring Managers and HRBP’s to deeply understand hiring needs, future capability requirements, and market trends. You will champion high performance, operational excellence and candidate experience across every touchpoint, while ensuring process consistency, compliance and alignment with budget parameters.
Managing a Recruitment Coordinator, you are a key member of the People Team and will regularly attend internal meetings or external events to represent VMIE as an excellent employer.
Specific Duties & Tasks

Lead full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles placing emphasis on the direct sourcing model
Manage the preferred supplier listing and recruitment agencies for niche roles
Integrate AI enabled tools and sourcing methods where appropriate
Represent Virgin Media Ireland at talent events, local recruitment fairs and networking events to enhance brand awareness
Partner with HRBPs and VPs to anticipate future needs, build proactive pipelines and support organisational growth
Manage, support and mentor a Recruitment Coordinator, driving high performance, clarity of responsibilities and continuous development.
Ensure a seamless, timely and candidate‑centric experience ensuring clear communication at all times
Oversee posting of job ads across websites, job boards and social networks
Manage the monthly recruitment approval process working with HRBPs, Finance BPs, Director of People, CFO and CEO.
Screen and shortlist candidates, conduct phone, first‑round, and second‑round interviews
Ensure accuracy of job descriptions, role requirements, benchmarking and system updates.
Review and refine hiring criteria and interview stages to ensure fairness, quality, and compliance with best practice and policy
Maintain alignment between recruitment activity and finance budget parameters
Support new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless and positive transition into the business
Ensure the Virgin Media Values are represented at all times and seen in our candidates and in turn our employees

Skills & Expertise

5 yrs + of inhouse recruitment experience in a fast paced organisation
Experience managing multiple roles focusing of the direct sourcing model across different business areas at one time
A proven track record of managing recruitment budgets
Experience building and nurturing talent pipelines across all roles internally and externally
Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement AI tools to positively impact talent strategy
Excellent communication and influcing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels in the business
Hands-on experience using ATS platforms such as Workday along with professional tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
A professional personal brand based on integrity, clarity, and partnership
Creativity in sourcing and an instinct for spotting outstanding talent
