Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents. The CNM will lead nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and work collaboratively with the management team to maintain a safe, supportive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, mentor and support the nursing team including RPNs, CNAs, and new staff.
* Ensure that all nursing care plans are properly designed, implemented and reviewed in accordance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and maintain compliance with HIQA standards, health & safety, infection control and other regulatory bodies.
* Manage admissions, assessments, and coordinate multidisciplinary meetings.
* Oversee medication management, documentation and record-keeping.
* Ensure safe staffing levels and assist with scheduling, rostering and shift coverage.
* Promote and maintain excellent standards of person-centred care.
* Liaise with residents’ families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and inventory management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) or equivalent registration with a valid nursing licence in Ireland.
* Significant post-registration experience in a clinical leadership role, ideally in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
* Demonstrable knowledge of HIQA and other regulatory frameworks.
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
