to lead their net new business generation and client acquisition strategy in Dublin.
This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal growth stage and play a hands-on role in building the consulting practice from the ground up.
The Role
This is a
hands-on, commercially focused position
where you'll be responsible for generating and converting net new consulting opportunities across multiple sectors including Financial Services, Construction, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Aviation, Higher Education, and more.
You'll manage one Business Development Consultant, working collaboratively with internal recruitment teams to identify and convert consulting opportunities from their client networks.
What You'll Be Doing:
Business Development & Sales
* Proactively identify and secure new consulting engagements across target sectors
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to proposal development and close
* Develop tailored go-to-market strategies for each priority sector
* Map key buyer personas (CEO, CIO/CTO, CFO, COO) and adapt your approach accordingly
* Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurate CRM records in Salesforce
Team Leadership
* Line manage and coach a Business Development Consultant
* Set KPIs, conduct regular 1:1s and quarterly performance reviews
* Drive a high-performance, accountable culture focused on results
Strategic Partnership
* Work closely with internal recruitment consultants to identify and convert consulting leads
* Collaborate with senior leadership on proposition development and market strategy
* Provide competitive intelligence and market insights to inform commercial planning
Brand Building & Networking
* Represent the business at industry events and host client roundtables
* Build brand credibility through targeted campaigns and thought leadership
* Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients on technology and change solutions
What You'll Need:
* Proven track record in
new business development
within technology, change, or professional services consulting
* Experience
managing at least one direct report
in a sales or BD capacity
* Strong understanding of
technology and change consulting
propositions
* Ability to prepare compelling
proposals, SOWs, and client pitches
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills at
senior stakeholder level
* Self-starter mentality with exceptional drive, initiative, and organisation
* Comfortable working
autonomously
in a fast-paced, agile environment
