We are currently seeking an MRF Plant Production Supervisor to join us in Dublin on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Responsibilities include supervising personnel, ensuring efficient plant operations, optimizing productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in both English and Romanian is ideally required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Provide day-to-day supervision of MRF personnel, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. Act as the direct reporting line for all staff within the MRF.
2. Identify and implement best practices to maximize production output and improve the efficiency of both the MRF and yard operations.
3. Regularly review performance data and lead the team to achieve KPI targets.
4. Work closely with the MRF Manager to develop work schedules, ensuring operational and annual leave coverage needs are met.
5. Monitor daily operations, including staffing levels, material handling, and production targets. Ensure efficient use of resources, including fuel, staffing hours, and adherence to the 5S methodology.
6. Ensure incoming loads meet quality standards for processing. Address contamination issues promptly and adjust pricing as needed.
7. Oversee the handling, separation, and delivery of waste materials to appropriate outlets, ensuring pre-sorting by loading machine operators is completed.
8. Follow revenue and cost-control measures, including monitoring weighbridge traffic, diesel usage, and accurate waste categorization.
9. Implement and oversee maintenance programs for all fixed and mobile plant equipment within the MRF. Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed, collaborating with maintenance personnel for scheduled PM activities.
10. Ensure all personnel are trained and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines. Address safety concerns promptly.
11. Implement a plant maintenance program, clearly identifying all assets and overseeing the use of Asset minder for logging activities.
12. Support other operational activities as requested by the MRF Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Proven supervisory experience in a production or waste management environment.
2. Experience supervising teams in a labor-intensive, multi-shift operation.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff.
4. Familiarity with operating and maintaining MRF equipment and mobile plant machinery.
5. This is a site-based role.
