People Operations - Senior Generalist role at Select Tech Group. Hybrid (4 days in the Office). Full-time. Irish owned and operated.
The Role
This is a Group role. It is a varied, practical People Ops role covering the full employee lifecycle. It is well-suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously in a corporate setting while staying connected to a collaborative leadership team. You will own and deliver the full range of People Ops generalist activities across the employee lifecycle for the Group, ensuring a high-quality and consistent employee experience. You will also have opportunities to get involved with Strategic People Ops initiatives and to influence people practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruitment and Onboarding - Manage and support the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Performance Management - Guide managers and employees on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
* Compliance - Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
* Policy Development and Implementation - Develop, update, and implement People Ops policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and followed.
* Training and Development - Identify training needs, liaise with the learning team to develop and deliver training programmes, and support employee development.
* Benefits Administration - Provide information and guidance to employees on benefits eligibility and coverage.
* Data Analysis and Reporting - Gather and analyse People Ops data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
* HRIS Management (BambooHR) - Maintain and update employee information in the HRIS.
* Record Keeping - Maintain employee records.
* Onboarding and offboarding - Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities and documentation support.
* Support the Employee Lifecycle - Collaborate with colleagues, Heads of Functions and People Managers to support the overall People Ops function and provide expert advice to Managers on all aspects of people management.
* Ad Hoc HR Support - Provide flexible support across a broad range of People Ops initiatives and projects, including coordinating meetings, surveys, employee engagement activities, change programmes, and other people-related priorities as they arise.
Qualifications And Skills
* Candidate should have 5+ years minimum experience in a HR/People Ops role.
* A team player with the ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and deal with senior management.
* High level of personal integrity and comfortable dealing with ambiguity - capable of balancing governance with high quality service.
* Numerate and data-driven, able to think clearly to address complex problems and identify underlying issues.
* Very detail oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional, proactive, energetic, with a can-do attitude and motivation to support.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment.
* Collaborative with peers; able to keep effective communication lines across internal and external contacts across multiple geographies.

Education, Experience and Certifications
* Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is typically required.
* Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on generalist responsibilities.
* Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. Experience with HR analytics, dashboards, and data-driven decision making is desirable.
* Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws in Ireland (essential) and the UK (advantage).
* Experience in a retail environment is essential.
* Certifications: CIPD certification is preferred.
