It provides a range of technology and operational support services, aligned to SMBC's growth, innovation, and transformation strategiesRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join EMEA Data Platform Team.The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in regulatory change, data analysis, and technology-driven solution design, with a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in a fast-paced, environment.This role requires a understanding of the investment banking landscape, particularly within the UK and European regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, PRA, ECB).The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across business, operations, compliance, and technology to drive strategic change and ensure regulatory compliance.BackgroundThe newly created EMEA Data & Analytics Technology team has been put in place to deliver data integration, reporting, and analytics services to the SMBC EMEA business. It exists within the wider ITSD department that is responsible for all IT delivery to the SMBC EMEA enterprise.The team deliver data and analytics solutions to FO P&L business lines, cross business line departments (e.g. Finance, Risk, Operations, etc), and the Data Office as a key client.
