Position Overview
capeMBX is seeking an experienced
Senior Salesforce Developer
to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimising Salesforce solutions. They should possess deep technical expertise in Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud), a strong background in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations, and be able to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on development, collaborating with business stakeholders, administrators, and other developers to deliver high-impact solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
This is a hybrid role with a mandatory three-day commitment based in our Dublin offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce applications and customisations using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, and other Salesforce technologies.
* Lead technical design sessions and create detailed technical documentation.
* Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Build and manage system integrations with external applications and platforms using APIs, middleware, and web services (REST/SOAP).
* Optimise system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform security best practices are followed.
* Mentor and guide junior developers, performing code reviews and promoting development best practices.
* Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
* Ensure compliance with company standards, architecture guidelines, and data governance policies.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of Salesforce development experience
, with strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and SOQL.
* Proven experience with Salesforce integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, middleware such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
* Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, governor limits, and performance optimisation.
* Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., Git, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins).
* Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (or equivalent advanced certifications).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with multiple Salesforce Clouds (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
