Design Build Search is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Water) on behalf of our client based in Co.
Limerick. The selected individual will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to progress Uisce ireann projects from initial briefing through detailed design and on into construction.
The role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure project design and delivery, along with the ability to apply innovative and practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities: Support the Design Manager in the mentoring, development, and performance of design team members.
Lead assigned projects and oversee designated engineers, ensuring effective coordination, technical direction, and delivery.
Prepare, review, and approve design documentation, providing expert technical input and guidance where necessary.
Develop design solutions that give due consideration to safety, environmental impact, constructability, and commercial efficiency.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment to achieve project objectives.
Engage with clients and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
Contribute to the planning and management of design programmes, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on schedule and to the required quality standards.
Undertake site visits and technical reviews to inform, validate, and refine design outputs.
Identify and promote opportunities for innovation and sustainable design solutions.
Support business development activities and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the organisation.
Requirements: 7 years of experience working in a similar role on water projects.
Ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholder developing design solutions.
Ability to use own initiative, and problem solve.
Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
