We are currently recruiting for multiple Caretakers to join our PPP CNU contract in Ardee, Clonmel, Athlone and Midleton. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Site Facilities Lead in providing day-to-day operational management. This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationship skills. The successful candidate will be subject to Garda Vetting, and flexibility will be required for working shifts to cover evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Facilities Site Lead in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establishing strong working relationships with the client.
2. Assist in reviewing existing services, specifications, processes, productivity levels, and quality control to optimize resource use.
3. Respond to client requests promptly with a strong customer focus via the maintenance management system.
4. Manage subcontractors on site, adhering to company contractor management guidelines, including the Safe Work Plan (SWP).
5. Proactively identify building faults, apply immediate fixes or ensure safe conditions, and contact appropriate contractors.
6. Work flexible shifts, including potential late closing or early opening, depending on client requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies, including undertaking roles such as Fire Warden and/or First Aider as required.
8. Conduct regular site and service inspections, identifying areas not meeting quality standards.
9. Contribute positively to business performance and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
10. Follow the Company Health & Safety rules and regulations when on site.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:
1. Experienced maintenance technician with extensive experience across multiple workstreams.
2. Must hold Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and other relevant site tickets.
3. Adhere to Garda Vetting process.
4. Proven health & safety awareness with a thorough understanding of quality systems.
5. Capable of prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
6. Highly organised with strong attention to detail regarding output and quality.
7. Exceptional customer service skills.
8. Exposure to Facilities Management or Engineering/Construction environments is ideal.
9. Proven experience in a similar role.
