The Role
You will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the General Adult setting in Highfield Healthcare.
Our services incorporate inpatient, day hospital, home-based treatment and outpatient care.
Eligibility Criteria
* Mb, Bch essential
* General Registration with Irish Medical Council essential
* X2 written references essential
* BLS - desirable
* Relevant experience in a mental health setting - desirable
We are looking for candidates who possess adaptability to changes in healthcare, ability to work well within a team environment, excellent organisation and time management skills, and demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
Other Requirements
* To promote patient care by liaising with all departments
* Ensure appropriate and timely communication as required with Admissions Staff, Ward Manager and staff, and consultant in charge of patient
* To participate in any in-service training as required such as CPR, Health and Safety, fire training etc.
* To provide in-service training to staff where requested and appropriate.
* Ensure on-going continuous professional development by reading current medical and psychiatric journals and on-going professional training.
* Empathising with patients, their family and friends and adopt a customer-focused approach at all times.
