Location: Bellanaboy Bridge Gas Terminal, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland
Contract type: Full time/Fixed term contract (6 months initially)

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our site in Belmullet on an initial 6-month contract basis. As a Mechanical Technician / Fitter, the scope of your role will be to perform daily Mechanical support for day-to-day project scopes, as part of the site project team.
How you will make an impact
· Actively contribute to the site HSE plan through engagement and supporting the execution of assurance activities, and contributing to Safety Observation Reporting program
· As a work party member, ensure compliance to the Permit to Work controls and Life Saving Rules at all times
· Take the role of Permit Holder as required
· Demonstrate strong communication and coordination with Site Supervisor, and the broader team and to ensure safe delivery of Mechanical scopes and handover
· Engage with the KAEFER Site Team to ensure effective prep, delivery of the project scopes safely, and on time
· Be responsible for the sustainment of key mechanical qualifications and competence
· Support the KAEFER Management Team in supervision and engagement with appointed vendors and specialist subcontractors
· Install positive isolations, breaking containment, modification of pipe work using various technical skills i.e. TMJI, Lokring, Electrofusion Welding, as well as performing lifting and rigging activities
· Maintain, modify and install prefabricated structural steel components
What you will bring
The ideal candidate for the role will be self-motivated with good communication skills, and a high degree of self-reliance with appropriate technical skills, to ensure prompt responses are made based on mature technical judgement. Flexibility to adapt to constant change is essential to enable the incumbent to work in a highly motivated and empowered environment.
Essential:
· Minimum of 5 years' experience ideally within the O&G industry
· Suitable trade certification
· Safe Pass
Desirable qualification:
· Certified in welding procedures.
· Lokring
· Small Bore Tubing
· TMJI 10, 11, 19
· Confined Space Entry
· Lifting & Rigging
· Knowledge of Permit Vision/ permit procedures
