My client is a leading retail fit-out contractor, delivering high-quality commercial projects across all major cities in Ireland and the UK. Known for efficient execution, attention to detail, and strong client relationships, they specialise in retail fit-out and maintenance, working with top brands and retail spaces from £250k up to £3.5 million in value.
The Role:
They are looking for an Ireland-based Operations Manager/Operations Director to lead the construction operations. This would suit a experienced, driven Project Manager who is keen to progress to this level with a clear career progression path.
This is a hands-on leadership position, based out of our Head Office in Shannon, with regular travel to projects in the UK (typically every two weeks for 2 nights). You’ll oversee 5 simultaneous projects and manage a team of 6–10 staff, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the construction team across multiple commercial fit-out and maintenance projects.

Oversee project execution from planning to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.

Liaise with clients, designers, and subcontractors, both remotely and in person.

Maintain oversight of 5+ active projects, ranging from £250k to £3.5 million.
*
Travel to UK project sites approximately every two weeks (3-day visits).
*
Support new business development—bonus incentives apply for successful contributions.

Report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with senior leadership.
What We're Looking For:

10+ years’ experience in construction, ideally retail fit-out or commercial interiors.

Track record of delivering multiple projects successfully, simultaneously.

Confident communicator with a presentable, professional manner.

Highly organised with strong time management skills.

Comfortable with tech and digital project collaboration tools.

Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic.
*
Spanish language skills a plus, but not required.
