Job Purpose Ayvens Insurance seeking a detail-oriented Business Controller to join its finance team on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months.
The role will report to the Management Reporting Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience working in a management reporting role.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Completion of monthly reporting to Group on a timely and accurate basis Ensuring that all inter-company queries are dealt with on a proactive manner and resolved on a timely basis Working with the Ayvens group entities to ensure that all inter-company balances are reconciled and agreed in advance of the month end reporting Responsibility for the revenue accounting and reporting process including timely resolution of data issues.
Work across various departments on the relevant reconciliations and issues resolution Support the testing and implementation of the new accounting and finance systems Assist in the preparation of the daily cashflow and payments as required Contributes to the Financial planning activities of AYINS and provides support during Annual Plan and Forecasting process Support internal, external and other audits as required Participation in periodic review of all processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements (Ayvens and Societe Generale) Provide support with the on-going projects and initiatives to ensure the continuous improvement and efficiencies for the Finance team Perform other duties as assigned or requested Knowledge /Skills Background in Accountancy and/or Business Studies Must understand Accounting Principles ACCA or CIMA qualification High level of numeric accuracy Experience in dealing with large amounts of data Time Management Skills to meet deadlines Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills Ability to work on own initiative Ability to build good relationships cross-functionally Good Team Player who fully participates in and supports departmental initiatives Strong attention to detail.
