Assistant
Maintenance Manager
at Kepak Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plants and maximizing efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of maintenance professional whilst providing guidance, training and support
* Conducting performance reviews and development plans for the maintenance team
* Structure, organise and manage shift patterns for maintenance team
* Provide overall leadership and development of Maintenance team in conjunction with Site Manager and Engineering Manager
* Oversee the maintenance operations and ensure the effective functioning of all equipment and machinery
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize productivity and reduce downtime
* Implementation of Kepak Maintenance System to best practice standard, including 24/7 cover management
* Coordinate with other departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safe work environment
* Responsible for the overseeing of all records required by HSE, BRC and all statutory and legal obligations
* Evaluate and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
* Represent the Maintenance department at all management meetings onsite
* Complete weekly and monthly reports on operations and performance and present to Senior Management
* Develop budgets and manage expenses related to maintenance activities
* Manage quality and safety of outside contractors while on site
* Recruitment and succession planning skills development
Requirements
* Senior Level Qualification in Maintenance/Engineering
* Proven experience(at least five years) in maintenance management, preferably in the food production industry
* Must have people management experience
* Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance principles and techniques
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Computer Literacy is essential with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
* Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
* Experience in managing budgets and reporting
* Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols
* Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems
* Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies
