Role Purpose
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of assigned electrical installation projects from mobilisation through to handover. The role ensures that all project outcomes meet programme, budgetary, safety, and quality requirements while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors. The position reports directly to the Operations Director.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects from mobilisation to final handover.
* Ensure works are completed in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and client specifications.
* Coordinate and oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
* Maintain full compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS), statutory requirements, and all contractual obligations.
* Report project progress, risks, opportunities, and financial performance to the Operations Director.
* Lead and participate in regular site meetings, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
* Act as the Operations Director's appointed representative for the full Electrical Contract Scope of Works, including:
* Design
* Pre-Construction
* Construction
* Inspection & Testing
* Commissioning
* Final Handover
* Coordinate and manage large-scale electrical installation projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Apply strong electrical systems expertise with a solid understanding of commissioning processes and requirements.
* Plan and allocate all project resources, including labour, materials, and specialist subcontractors.
* Manage, mentor, and motivate large project teams to achieve all delivery milestones and deadlines.
* Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and Quality standards.
* Monitor project performance to ensure profitability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrated project management experience within electrical engineering or related fields.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and construction health & safety practices.
* Proven ability to manage commissioning processes and large electrical installation packages.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring full compliance with Sammin Engineering's Integrated Management System, including all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements.
