Overview
GPC Finance is currently working with a reputable firm with experience in accounting, taxation and business advice for over 20 years. They serve a wide variety of clients, both nationally & internationally and offer a comprehensive range of services to both individual & corporate clients. They are currently seeking an experienced Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team in Leinster, who will support the finance team in various accounting functions, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Irish GAAP and IFRS.
* Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including gathering and analysing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance filings, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
* Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
* Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
