Job Description:
Corporate Legal Counsel Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Counsel to join our team. This role will provide critical support to the business by overseeing and managing Company Secretariat filings and compliance, as well as advising on a wide range of legal issues.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage Company Secretariat filings and compliance requirements for both Irish and international matters.
* Evaluate intellectual property activities, including new developments and trade mark proposals, and advise on ownership, use, and potential infringement activities.
* Advise on general data queries, data subject access requests, data breaches, data processing agreements, and general data protection queries.
* Provide guidance on corporate legal matters, including shareholder matters, regulatory issues, and assist with ongoing updates to company policies and developing training materials for the business.
* Review commercial leases and work closely with our Property Portfolio Manager and external advisors on all legal matters related to our property portfolio.
* Coordinate and execute legal documents, assisting in preparing documents for meetings and managing the case management system for the legal team.
Requirements:
* A third-level Law or Business degree, accompanied by a Professional Qualification (Solicitor or international equivalent).
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified solicitor, either in-house or in a large/mid-tier law firm.
* Solid experience in a company secretariat in-house team or law firm providing company secretariat services.
* Experience in intellectual property law, data protection law, and commercial property law is highly desirable.
* Strong drafting, negotiating, and communication skills, along with a broad business knowledge and ability to understand complexities of operations and business relationships.
* A strategic thinker who is a capable problem solver, able to work independently and be motivated to deliver the legal department's value-added agenda.
* The ability to multitask, use a systematic and analytical approach to identifying issues and problem-solving, and prioritize tasks effectively.
