Job Description
Our organization is currently seeking a highly skilled Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist to lead the delivery of EIA reports and appropriate assessments for large-scale Renewable Energy infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the EIA process, including the delivery of environmental impact assessment reports and appropriate assessments/natura impact statements. They will also provide expert environmental advice to support the planning team and inform business unit strategy to ensure compliance with planning and environmental issues.
This role will require the individual to stay up-to-date with changes in planning and environmental legislation, policy decisions, and updates to national, regional, and local authority development plans to maximize outcomes for our organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, with expertise in leading the delivery of EIS/EIAR and AA/NIS documentation for large-scale development projects.
They will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams on EIA projects. Additionally, they will have a deep understanding of the EIA process and Irish planning policy and legislation in relation to EIA.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in leading the preparation of EIARs and AA/NIS for large-scale projects.
* Expertise in leading the delivery of EIS/EIAR and AA/NIS documentation for large-scale development projects.
* Experience in Renewables and related infrastructure or SID projects desirable but not essential.
