We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team. As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing expert psychological assessments and interventions to individuals within the correctional system.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care and management plans, ensuring that recommendations are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Your expertise in forensic psychology will be critical in identifying and addressing the complex mental health and behavioural challenges faced by those in custody.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. A postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology is essential, as is membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland or British Psychological Society. Two years of post-graduate experience as a Psychologist is also required.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
* Graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS)
* Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by PSI
* A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience as a Psychologist
Desirable Qualifications and Competencies:
* Experience working with forensic populations and group settings
* Ability to provide consultation, education, guidance, and support to multidisciplinary colleagues
* Further therapeutic or research qualifications
