Overview
Site Manager role for a healthcare project on a large-scale site in Dunboyne, Co. Meath. Aims to manage the finishing aspects of a multi-discipline construction project and lead on-site activities with a multi-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee on-site teams, including company staff and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution.
* Ensure projects are delivered according to tender specifications and within agreed timelines, addressing delays promptly.
* Monitor subcontractor performance to minimize project variations.
* Ensure multiple projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety standards.
* Participate in internal and external meetings to review project progress.
* Coordinate with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with legal and project requirements, similar to in-house teams.
* Identify and communicate site-based changes to the engineering and commercial teams within a week of occurrence.
* Actively manage delays in the project schedule, implementing mitigation strategies to reduce impact.
* Lead and motivate the team, addressing performance issues in line with company policies.
* Aim to deliver projects ahead of the planned schedule where possible.
* Represent the company positively by promoting and implementing corporate and business unit initiatives.
* Ensure all corporate, safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) briefings are communicated and documented.
* Conduct on-site inductions for new employees and subcontractors, adhering to legislative and company standards.
* Collaborate with the SHEQ department to support required actions or recommendations.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records, ensuring readiness for audits at all times.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Hold a relevant qualification in construction management or have at least five years of experience in construction management.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects with a focus on safe and efficient construction practices.
* Solid understanding of the Irish construction industry, including regulations and standards.
* Ability to meet project deadlines and achieve KPIs.
* Strong communication skills.
* Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
