We seek an experienced structural maritime engineer to join our client's team on a two-year fixed term contract.
Job Summary:
Lead the assessment and review of jetty and pier design specifications, evaluating structural soundness, and collaborate with external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assess and review jetty and pier design specifications.
* Evaluate structural soundness and material suitability.
* Identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improved asset reliability and performance.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders.
* Coordinate with internal teams.
* Deliver detailed reports and findings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 7-20 years of experience in Structural Maritime Engineering.
* Analytical skills for maritime structural designs.
* Meticulous approach to design precision and documentation.
* Conduct safety assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
* Navigate complex matrix organisations and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
Location Requirements:
The ideal candidate must reside within commuting distance of Cork, Ireland; relocation support is not available.
