Wedding & Events Coordinator - Permenent - Sligo

Our client, one of the North West’s most esteemed wedding venues, is seeking a talented Wedding & Events Co-ordinator to help them deliver extraordinary celebrations.

As the Wedding and Events Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, organising, and executing a variety of weddings and events. You will work closely with couples, suppliers, colleagues to ensure every detail is managed flawlessly, helping to create lifelong memories for couples and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Meet with each couple / organiser to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships.
* Develop detailed weddings / event plans, including timelines, layouts, and coordination between suppliers, arranging wedding tasting evenings with couples and liaising with the Head Chef and his team on the lead up to and on the day of the wedding.
* Work closely with the food and beverage management and staff to ensure all requirements are met on the day.
* Ensuring smooth execution of the wedding day.
* Post wedding review/organiser with each couple and the team.
* Assist in bookings of other events and celebrations.
* Attend and represent the hotel at wedding trade shows and consumer wedding shows.
* Plan and lead out on Wedding Open Days, welcoming couples and showcasing the hotel.
* Stay updated on wedding trends and best practices in weddings.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Proven experience in wedding or event coordination (ideally 3+ years).
* Strong understanding of wedding etiquette, traditions, and event management best practices.
* Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Exceptional organisational, multitasking, and time management skills.
* Proficiency with standard software tools (Word, Excel, email, presentations).
* Demonstrated history of increasing yearly wedding revenue.
* Empathetic approach to guiding couples through wedding preparations.

Work Environment:

This role requires flexibility, working with a warm, experienced and professional team in the hotel. The role will require working some evenings and weekends, especially during peak wedding seasons, to coordinate events and exceed couples’ expectations.
