Accounts / Office Assistant (WPEP-2417372)

This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.


Job Description

Map Share/Print, copy link, Generate PDF (tasks performed during the placement).

As a participant you will work in a busy office environment and learn new skills. You will be trained and mentored in the following areas:

* Processing requests and ensuring alignment with company procedures
* Maintaining a systematic filing system (manual and computerized)
* Professionally answering phone calls and responding promptly to employee and customer inquiries
* Effectively communicating and updating company activities
* Updating the calendar of events
* Welcoming customers and guests in a professional and friendly manner
* Updating accounts using account software
* Health & safety compliance


Training & Development

Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement.

Formally you will receive training in:

* Customer Service Training
* Health & Safety
* Microsoft Office
* Time Management
* Accounts software

Informally you will develop skills in:

* Teamwork
* Communication Skills
* Administration
* Customer Service
