My client, a leading international fashion retailer, is seeking an
Assistant Garment Technologist
to support the delivery of safe, compliant, and quality products to customers. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their technical expertise while working closely with technologists, buying teams, suppliers, and compliance to ensure best practice and continuous improvement. Dublin City Centre based.

Responsibilities of this Assistant Garment Technologist include:
* Assist in product development, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practice processes.
* Support Gold Seal and sample approval processes, communicating quality issues to buyers and suppliers.
* Build competitor awareness, benchmarking fit, quality, and performance.
* Gain understanding of testing requirements, labelling regulations, and compliance obligations.
* Manage reporting of testing submissions and contribute to technical documentation (tech packs, scorecards).
* Monitor returns data and assist in identifying high-risk products, working with technologists to resolve issues.
* Support supplier communication on product development, testing results, and improvement plans.
* Assist in resolving customer complaints and logging quality incidents.
* Attend department meetings and represent Quality Assurance.
* Contribute to the Quality Academy training programme, helping share best practices with colleagues and suppliers.
Requirements of this Assistant Garment Technologist include:
* Some experience or academic background in garment technology, textiles, or product development.
* Knowledge of quality assurance processes, testing, and product compliance.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Analytical mindset, able to highlight risks and contribute to solutions.
* Organised, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a positive and results-driven attitude.
