Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant.
* To provide exceptional support in the delivery of care to our residents, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the highest levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other personal care needs.
* Assist clients with all aspects of their care requirements, including physical, emotional, and spiritual support, while ensuring their comfort and dignity are respected.
* Closely monitor clients who may be confused or have behavioural problems, providing supportive care and interventions as needed.
* Support the promotion of continence among clients, working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
* Provide sensitive and respectful care to clients who are dying or have progressive illnesses, adhering to our policies and procedures on end-of-life care.
* Promote social interaction among clients through participation in activities, hobbies, and events, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
* Respond promptly to nurse call systems, providing timely assistance as required, and manage incoming calls and visitors efficiently.
* Under the supervision of senior care staff, report on client well-being, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
* Conduct regular checks on clients at designated intervals, documenting observations and any concerns.
* Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, offering refreshments and support as needed.
* Ensure bedrooms are kept clean and tidy, making beds, emptying commodes, and adhering to waste disposal policies.
* Use Nursing Home resources responsibly, minimizing waste and optimizing efficiency.
* Clean and maintain equipment used by clients and relatives, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, and spectacles, promoting independence and accessibility.
* Adhere to confidentiality and respect clients' privacy, particularly in situations involving death and bereavement.
* Assist clients during meal times, being mindful of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements, and other needs.
* Evaluate escorting clients on outings, hospital visits, and other activities, prioritizing safety and comfort.
