**Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing home team in Sligo.

">

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our care services and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

">

The successful candidate will have a strong background in older persons care or nursing home care, as well as a recognised managerial qualification (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications). They will also have at least 3 years' post-registration experience in a relevant field and a solid understanding of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.

">

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English language (verbal and written), eligible to work in Ireland, and able to work effectively as part of a care team. They will also possess strong communication and listening skills, as well as a caring and compassionate attitude towards delivering high-quality person-centred care.

The role requires the ability to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents, monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the team, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**

* Registered Nurse on NMBI live register.
* 3 years post-registration experience in a relevant field.
* Recognised Managerial Qualification (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
* Clinical experience working in older persons care or nursing home care.
* Working experience of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
* Fluent in English language (verbal and written) and eligible to work in Ireland.
* Strong communication and listening skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a care team.
* Caring and compassionate attitude.
* Passion for providing high-quality care.
* Basic knowledge of IT systems such as excel spreadsheets.
