What we do
Managing TP risk remains critical as businesses and tax authorities navigate increasingly uncertain times and growing demands for more tax transparency. With this changing environment in focus, our clients expect us to have a global & local perspective and advise them on managing their TP risks and on all aspects of TP advisory from documentation and compliance to the review, design and implementation of global TP policy, business restructurings and dispute resolution.
What this role offers
As a Transfer Pricing Manager you'll work as part of a dynamic and diverse team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution, documentation and defense. You'll work on complex and challenging assignments and gain experience working with interesting clients - from the largest multinational organisations to Irish start-ups and private businesses expanding their international footprint. You'll be expected to innovate to solve complex problems and develop digital tools to help us maximize the client experience.
Responsibilities
* Directing and driving the success of a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop as a senior manager by seeking opportunities with the support of Partners and other mentors.
* Build client relationships while taking the lead in managing the day to day aspects of client projects, business development and participation in various consultancy projects.
* Engage in a hybrid working environment while managing client expectations, coaching and supporting others, while reporting to a team of experienced senior managers, directors and partners.
* Lead by example in an environment where innovative thinking, curiosity and a self-led approach to learning are at the forefront of everything we do.
* Undertake business development opportunities with the support of partners and other team members.
* Coach team members and drive the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.
* Have an active role in training our junior and senior staff members promoting a learning culture.
* Embrace the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. Drive the implementation and integration of technologies further within our day-to-day business and that of our clients. * Set the tone in promoting risk management and compliance procedures.
* Responsibility for managing the financial aspects of projects including budgetary and time constraints.
* Contribute to fostering the positive working environment offered by PwC and act as an advocate to promote our continuous learning culture.
About you – Key skills and competencies
* At least 5 years experience in Transfer Pricing consulting. The ideal candidate would have experience in a mature TP market where a large proportion of time was spent on consulting projects.
* Degree in accounting, economics, finance, international business, law or other relevant disciplines/areas.
* Post-graduate degree or qualification preferred with a strong academic record.
* Strong business acumen; ability to think commercially on projects and share industry insights with teams. Ability to identify gaps in the market, undertake business development activities and contribute to our growth ambitions.
* Strong track record of managing the success of multiple engagements across all attributes including coaching and training, technical disciplines and financial management.
* Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal self-directed learning and development.
* Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and undertake business development initiatives, consistently demonstrate an eagerness to seek opportunities to develop as a Senior Manager on the team.
* Enthusiastic team player and manager with a passion to coach, motivate and encourage others to achieve their potential. Value diversity and ensure an inclusive environment.
* Proven ability to support the ongoing development of the team in order to retain talent across the firm.
* Excellent relationship management skills – ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and to adapt behavior to build quality relationships.
