Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities, manage the RFQ process and ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development: Work closely with the sales team to build and secure new projects.
* Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met.
* RFQ Process: Collaborate with internal departments to create detailed, commercially viable proposals and ensure timely follow-ups after submission.
* Project Oversight: Manage ongoing projects, ensuring seamless handovers to the operations team and alignment with business objectives.
* Strategic Planning: Conduct market, competitor and sector analyses to support informed decision-making.
* Reporting: Submit regular updates on sales performance and market insights to the Managing Director.
* Presentation: Deliver engaging presentations to clients, showcasing service offerings and project solutions.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with expertise in the manufacturing or sub-contract engineering industry, strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have:
* Expertise in precision CNC multi-axis turning and milling.
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to develop compelling proposals.
* Excellent analytical skills to assess and interpret data, creating actionable strategies.
* Advanced organisational and communication skills, including proficiency with preparing reports, tender documents and presentations.
* Proven track record in achieving targets and delivering results.
