Reports to: Supervising Chef
Basic job function:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and driven Pastry Chef to join an award winning business.
You will be responsible for the preparation and packing of exquisite products supporting the team across the kitchen.
Minimum requirements
* Professional qualification in pastry or equivalent experience of at least 5 years
* Proven track record of delivering exceptional standards
* Passionate about creating quality products
* Full working knowledge of an integrated food safety / HACCP system
* Must possess a positive professional attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
Tasks/Responsibilities
* Produce all desserts and patisserie from scratch using inhouse specifications and recipes
* Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing for delivery
* Adhere to standard work practices and standard operating practices for all equipment in the kitchen
* Maintain HACCP requirements in line with company procedures as set out by the Food Safety Manager
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly used, cleaned and maintained
