Job Description:
This position is based in Waterford on a 4 cycle shift pattern.
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support high volume, automated contact lens manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to operations teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
* Diagnosing and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
* Liaising with Operations team to coordinate resources and prioritize tasks.
* Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to identify and eliminate process detractors.
* Implementing improvements under change control.
Requirements:
- A degree in automation engineering, computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent.
- A working knowledge of electrics, electronics, pneumatics, PLCs and vision systems.
