The role
Site Manager | Galway, IrelandExperienced Site Manager responsible for delivering large-scale construction projects safely, on programme, and to a high-quality standard. Proven track record working with main contractors on multi-million euro builds across Ireland and the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day site operations including logistics, welfare facilities, access routes, and subcontractor coordination.Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including inductions, RAMS, risk assessments, statutory obligations, and ongoing site supervision.Promote and enforce safe systems of work, environmental controls, and continuous hazard identification and mitigation.Conduct regular site inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure timely reporting and resolution of HSE issues.Oversee quality assurance processes including QA/QC systems, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), NCR management, and BIM-based tracking.Maintain accurate site documentation including daily diaries, labour tracking, progress records, and quality reports.Manage short-term construction programmes, monitor progress, and identify/communicate delays and recovery actions.Coordinate subcontractor activities, ensure sequencing aligns with programme requirements, and maintain site productivity.Review and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in coordination with project management teams.Oversee site security, welfare provision, visitor inductions, and stakeholder interface management.Support commercial functions through accurate records, material tracking, and subcontractor scope awareness.Liaise with clients, consultants, statutory authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project deliveryRequirementsConstruction‑related degree or equivalent qualification.5–10+ years’ experience working with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.Experience delivering projects in excess of €10m / £10m.Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, quality systems, and construction delivery processes.Competent in site management systems including BIM, QA/QC tools, and programme control.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skill
