Our organization seeks a dedicated professional to lead health and safety initiatives for a large construction project in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with senior HSE managers to implement company strategy and expectations through SOPs, guidance, and other policies.
* Conduct thorough safety inspections of workplaces as instructed by senior HSE managers, ensuring high-quality results.
* Support senior HSE managers in tender and prequalification submissions, providing expert advice on health and safety concerns and practical solutions.
* Attend start-up meetings with site teams, hold risk reviews, conduct investigations, and report findings.
* Implement the management system, coaching and encouraging stakeholders to uphold regulatory, statutory, and internal health and safety expectations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A relevant third-level qualification, such as health and safety or occupational health.
* NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
* At least 5 years of experience as a health and safety professional in the construction industry.
* Competent working knowledge of lifting operations BS 7121/IS 361, temporary works, incident investigations, and health and safety audits.
* Excellent communication and IT skills, with experience reporting to senior levels.
