This role will be involved in technology advancement projectsincluding but not limited to developing new manufacturing processes, device concepts, andvalidating new technology and methods. This work will focus on the development and manufactureof catheter-based technology to treat ischemic stroke. In this role you will have the opportunity tocontribute to both manufacturing and device design and development.How You’ll ContributeLead the development of new methods of device manufactureDemonstrate ability to rapidly prototype product and fixture concepts in-house - usingstandard catheter building equipment and techniques such as 3D printingModelling and analysis of mechanical systems using SolidWorks or similarExperience of working with medical device polymers, ideally within a catheter manufacturing environmentConceive, develop and improve manufacturing processesDesign fixtures and models for proof-of-concept, and verification and validation testingDesign, build and document development of novel neurovascular catheter-based technologySupport and manage efforts to verify and validate new product designsPrepare project plans, specifications, and schedules for product developmentIdentify and interact with vendors to obtain engineering materials, processes, and equipmentContribute to company Intellectual PropertyMust HaveDegree in EngineeringMinimum of 3 years’ experience in the medical device industryA hands-on mindsetDemonstrated ability to rapidly prototype product and fixture concepts in-house - using standard catheter building equipment and techniques such as 3D printingModelling and analysis of mechanical systems using SolidWorks or similarExperience of working with medical device polymersStrong aptitude for process verification and validation, process development and implementationExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others in different functions and at various levelsMust enjoy contributing to and participating in a dynamic team environmentCommit to ongoing personal development to improve technical and non-technical skillsetsStay current with general engineering knowledge related to catheter design and prototyping techniquesIf interested, please submit your CV and a note outlining why you’re the right person through Indeed.ie
