Skillsource is seeking, on behalf of our client, a Refrigeration Technician to join a growing Service team. This role involves the installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of advanced heating and cooling systems, with a strong focus on air source heat pumps across the Leinster region. Its an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in developing expertise in heat pump technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Commission refrigeration and air source heat pump systems for residential and commercial applications
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and heat pump equipment
* Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
* Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation
* Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Refrigeration Technician (QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
* Full, valid F-Gas certification
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Full clean driving licence (company vehicle provided)
* Ability to read wiring diagrams, commissioning reports, and technical manuals
* Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience with R290 or CO-based systems
* Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and system controls
* Previous experience with commercial or industrial-scale HVAC installations
