Food Safety Compliance Officer Job Description
The Food Safety Compliance Officer is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring adherence to quality, food safety, and environmental health & safety standards across all operational units nationwide. This position requires a detail-oriented professional passionate about maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
This role involves promoting continuous improvement of QFSEHS systems, developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting audits and reviews, supporting updates to Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Systems of Work, and Risk Assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on quality management strategy and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote continuous improvement of QFSEHS systems to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
* Assist in developing and implementing QFSEHS policies and procedures.
* Conduct food safety and health & safety audits, including follow-up reviews and reports.
* Support in updating Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Systems of Work, and Risk Assessments.
* Help resolve product complaints, non-conformances, and customer queries.
* Collaborate on quality management strategy and operational problem-solving.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in Food Science, Quality Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or related fields.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within multi-site operations in retail, food service, or catering.
* Full clean driving license.
* Strong knowledge of Irish and Northern Irish legislation and best practices in quality, food safety, and health & safety.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Excellent problem-solving, auditing, and report-writing abilities.
* Experience in teamwork, customer focus, planning, and influencing others.
