The position is available at our Dublin, Cork or Limerick offices.Job DescriptionAs a Design Engineer you will work under the guidance of more senior members of staff to develop your technical skills and to develop commercial awareness. It is also expected that you will undertake CPD out of office hours by attendance on lectures, seminars etc + technical reading.Candidate SpecificationA degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent, 2-3 years postgraduate experienceCommitted to achieving Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland or equivalentAn understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focusIT skills – including MS Word, Excel, Project, structural design software such as CADS, SCIA, Tekla, AutoCAD, TEDDS, REVIT, STRAP and other design softwareThe ability to identify and apply appropriate scientific methods to solve engineering problems plus knowledge of the limitations of established best practice as defined by Standards and CodesUnder supervision plan and manage the use of human and physical resources for your projectsStrong communication skills both oral and writtenUnderstanding of the Irish regulatory and policy issuesAppreciation of the full Project Delivery Process including GCCC ContractsCommitment to CPD and competence.A positive, proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenariosBenefitsThe successful candidate will enjoy an exceptional learning and development environment, where collaboration, teamwork and your professional and personal development matters.
